Tuck-Pointing Maintenance and Repair - Municipal Power Plant

The City of Columbia is seeking a contractor to perform tuck-pointing maintenance and repair services at the Municipal Power Plant. The scope of work includes restoring deteriorated mortar joints, improving structural integrity, and enhancing the appearance of masonry surfaces. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning brick and concrete surfaces, installing weeps, sealing brick and concrete, removing and replacing caulking, and applying a rust inhibitor to metal surfaces. The contractor must comply with all City, State, and Federal environmental regulations and provide materials, equipment, and labor that meet or exceed project specifications. • The project includes work on the ground level wall, measuring approximately 400 square feet, with 29 windows and 4 doors. • The project also includes work on the fourth-floor wall, measuring approximately 72' x 50', with 10 windows. • The contractor must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each with a corporate surety satisfactory to the purchasing agent. • The contractor must comply with the prevailing wage law of Missouri and provide certified payroll submissions every 7 days. • The contractor must also comply with OSHA requirements and provide OSHA cards for all personnel working on the project.
