Spacecraft Structures, from Concept to Launch | Live/in-person instructor-led training

The NASA/NSSC is seeking a contractor to provide a comprehensive technical short course focused on the design, analysis, and verification of spacecraft structures. The goal is to strengthen the engineering workforce's understanding of structural requirements, failure modes, and risk assessment to reduce total mission cost and ensure mission success. The course will cover the full life cycle of spacecraft structural development, from initial concept through launch. The contractor shall provide an expert instructor to deliver the Spacecraft Structures (SCS) course, which will be held in-person at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The course will be 3 days long and will cover key technical domains such as launch environments, structural integrity and stress analysis, finite element analysis applications, and quality assurance. • The contractor must provide a subject matter expert with a minimum of 30 years of experience in aerospace structural engineering. • The contractor must provide each participant with a digital or printed copy of the SCS Course Book. • The curriculum must remain consistent with established industry principles. • The course will be deemed successful upon completion of the following: delivery of the course to the agreed-upon number of NASA engineers and managers, knowledge transfer, and feedback.
