Description
The County is seeking qualified contractors to replace the existing walk‑in freezer #8 at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. The scope includes concrete removal and repouring, installation of a new refrigerated unit (evaporator and condensing), modifications to the dry‑sprinkler system, electrical and lighting upgrades, floor‑guard heated slab, and fence/barrier updates. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with strict bonding and insurance requirements, and a $500/day liquidated‑damages clause for late performance.
• Concrete work to support the new freezer
• Supply and install a commercial walk‑in freezer with HVAC components
• Electrical, lighting, and heated slab system upgrades
• Sprinkler system adjustments and fence/barrier replacement
• Must provide 5% bid bond and 100% performance/payment bonds (A‑8 or better rating)
