6530--Amendment New -Specialty Mattress and Frames

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide specialty mattresses and bariatric bed frames for the Amarillo VA Health Care System. The contractor shall provide 14 specialty mattresses, including all required air pumps/blowers, and 2 bariatric bed frames. The mattresses shall include a five-year, non-prorated warranty covering both interior and exterior components. The contractor shall deliver and install all mattresses and remove existing mattresses at the time of installation, and provide training and educational materials to EMS and Nursing Staff. • The contractor shall perform quarterly, semiannual, and/or annual inspections and maintenance on all acquired mattresses in accordance with the most current manufacturer manuals and Joint Commission standards. • The contractor shall provide a product demonstration prior to selection. • The contractor shall provide warranty documentation and maintenance logs submitted monthly. • The acquisition is performance-based and not brand-specific. • The contractor shall deliver, install, and remove existing mattresses from patient care areas.
