Description
The Town of Exeter, NH is seeking a qualified law firm (or individual attorney) to provide comprehensive municipal legal services on an as‑needed basis for a three‑year term. Services include general counsel advice, representation in administrative and court matters, drafting and reviewing ordinances, contracts, real‑estate transactions, and attending various town board meetings to give legal opinions. The contract may be awarded to one firm or multiple firms depending on specialties; bond counsel is expressly excluded. Technical and cost proposals must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes by the deadline, with a subsequent interview and cost‑review process leading to award in early May.
• General municipal counsel, litigation, and advisory work across all town departments.
• Drafting, reviewing, and filing of ordinances, contracts, deeds, and other legal documents.
• Attendance at town board, planning, zoning, and conservation commission meetings to provide on‑site legal advice.
