Purchase of Slide Gates for the Lanier Filter Plant

* The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids for the purchase of replacement slide gates for the Pre-Treatment Facility and Ozone Facility at the Lanier Filter Plant. * The scope of work includes: + Replacing three slide gates and frames in the Pre-Treatment facility + Replacing 14 slide gates, frames, and stems in the Ozone Facility + Providing start-up assistance to the installation contractor + Supplying operating and maintenance manuals, spare parts, and special tools * The equipment manufacturer shall design the gates, frames, seals, supports, and stems to withstand full water pressure on either side of the gate when only one side is drained. * The manufacturer shall also provide confirmation that the existing anchor bolts can be reused and that the new stems are compatible with the existing actuators. * Bidders must submit their bids in duplicate, including all required documents, such as the bid schedule, references, contractor affidavit, and code of ethics affidavit. * The award will be made to the supplier submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. * The contract requires the contractor to maintain certain insurance coverages, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and umbrella/excess liability insurance.
