Description
The Turnpike Authority of Kentucky (TAK) is seeking a certified public accounting firm to provide audit and consultation services. The selected firm will perform an audit of TAK's financial statements, including completion of the Closing Package Forms and a reconciliation of the information reported on the forms to the audited financial statements. The firm will also provide consultation services related to bond refunding, new issues, and responses to the Finance and Administration Cabinet and State Auditor. The audit will be conducted in accordance with the provisions provided by the Auditor of Public Accounts, Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Key points to consider:
* The selected firm must be a certified public accounting firm in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Accountancy.
* The firm must have experience in auditing comparable bond issues and attendant investment schedules.
* The firm must provide a detailed description of its audit approach, including setting audit objectives, audit planning and analytical procedures, establishing materiality levels, and studying the internal control structure and assessing control risk.
* The firm must provide a list of the location of its principal place of business and any branch offices.
* The firm must provide a description of any other area or unique feature of the approach that would benefit the audit and ultimately the statewide audit as conducted by the APA.
