Description
The Western Virginia Water Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to provide complete gate and fencing systems for the Crystal Spring and Muse Spring water treatment plants. Work includes supplying and installing aluminum fence, chain‑link fence, multiple gates (including a power‑operated sliding gate), steel pipe bollards, conduit, and related site‑preparation activities on a unit‑price basis. The bid will be sealed, hard‑copy only, with a 5 % bid bond required, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The contractor must hold the necessary Virginia business authority, provide performance and payment bonds for contracts $100 k+, and comply with Virginia statutes and the EJCDC contract documents.
• Install approx. 750 ft of 6‑ft high black aluminum fence and two 20‑ft aluminum picket gates at Crystal Spring WTP, plus conduit and wiring.
• Install approx. 1,080 ft of 6‑ft high galvanized chain‑link fence with three rows of barbed wire and multiple personnel gates at Muse Spring WTP.
• Provide seven 6‑in steel pipe bollards with concrete footings, and perform associated trenching, asphalt cutting, and site‑prep work.
