Description
The Burke County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the purchase of one paving compactor meeting specific minimum specifications. The compactor must have a steel drum on the front, pneumatic rear tires, vibratory operation, on-board water storage and spray system, and other features. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked, and late bids will not be accepted. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• The paving compactor must have a minimum operating weight of 7,500 lbs and a minimum compaction width of 50 inches.
• The compactor must be equipped with a diesel engine, on-board beacon light, and dual-frequency vibrating system.
