Luzerne County is issuing an RFP for a comprehensive suite of insurance policies covering the County’s operations for the 2027 policy year. The solicitation seeks proposals from qualified insurance carriers to provide a package policy (property, inland marine, commercial general liability, pesticide/herbicide, commercial auto, umbrella, systems breakdown, employee benefits, crime) as well as numerous specialized coverages (public officials, law enforcement, emergency dispatchers, public defenders, children & youth, mental health, aging services, drug & alcohol program, fiduciary liability, excess workers’ compensation, cyber liability, drone liability, etc.). Proposals must be submitted by noon on 10/30/2026, be “net of commission,” and include detailed coverage descriptions, limits, deductibles, loss‑control services, and premium allocation. The successful carrier may be considered for renewal if comparable coverage and pricing are offered.
