Grain Center Scale Repair & Upsizing

The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center is seeking bids for the repair and upsizing of the Grain Center Scale. The project involves the replacement of mechanical and electrical components, as well as the extension of the scale pit by 20 feet. The successful bidder will be responsible for demolishing and removing the existing scale, excavating and pouring concrete for the pit extension, installing a new in-ground pit-style truck scale, and performing electrical and data integration work. The project must be completed and fully operational by May 15, 2026. • The scope of work includes demolition and removal, excavation and concrete work, scale installation, electrical and data integration, remote display installation, calibration and certification, warranty and support, and freight and logistics. • The project requires a minimum 20-year load cell warranty and includes details and requirements to maintain the warranty. • The bid response will be evaluated based on the qualifications of the firm, relevant experience, adherence to specifications, and price.
