Notice to Bidders

The Town of Hempstead is seeking bids for street lighting maintenance, repairs, and electrical power infrastructure upgrades at various locations. The contract documents can be obtained in person at the Office of the Commissioner of General Services, and a fee of $100 is required. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than 5% of the estimated amount of the bid. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. • The contract includes street lighting maintenance and repairs • Electrical power infrastructure upgrades are also part of the contract • The contract is subject to federal equal opportunity and labor standards • Minority-owned, women-owned, and disabled veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals • Bidders must have an apprenticeship program in place if the bid exceeds $250,000
