Cesar E. Chavez Parkway

The City of Laredo is seeking bids for the construction of the Cesar E. Chavez Parkway. The project includes the installation of a freestanding steel archway structure and a commemorative stand-alone plaque. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project. The project must be completed in accordance with the City of Laredo's standard specifications manual and the Texas Department of Transportation's standard specifications for construction and maintenance of highways, streets, and bridges. • The project requires the contractor to submit site-specific traffic control plans to the City for review and approval prior to any partial or complete roadway closures. • The contractor must provide signed and sealed shop drawings and foundation design for the archway and plaque. • The contractor must ensure that all required permits and approvals have been obtained before beginning construction. • The contractor must provide copies of all test results to the City and the engineer prior to the City's acceptance of improvements.
