Description

The Security, Privacy, and Trust in Cyberspace (SaTC 2.0) program aims to build trust in global cyber ecosystems by supporting research and education in cybersecurity, privacy, and trust. The program spans the interests of NSF's Directorates for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS), Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE), and STEM Education (EDU). Proposals must be submitted pursuant to one of the following designations: Research (RES), Education (EDU), or Seedling (SEED). Each designation has different requirements and budget limits. • The RES designation is the focus of the multidisciplinary SaTC 2.0 research program, with a total budget limit of $1,200,000 and durations of up to four years. • The EDU designation is used to identify proposals focusing on education and workforce training in building trust in security, privacy, and resilience of cyberspace, with a total budget limit of $500,000 and durations of up to three years. • The SEED category is intended for special topics defined by accompanying Dear Colleague Letters, with a total budget limit of $300,000 and durations of up to two years.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $1,200,000

The estimated budget for this opportunity can vary depending on the designation and budget limits. For RES projects, the total budget limit is $1,200,000, while for EDU projects, it is $500,000, and for SEED projects, it is $300,000. Considering the estimated funding for the program is $60,000,000, and the award ceiling is $1,200,000, a reasonable estimate for the budget would be between $50,000 and $1,200,000. The actual budget will depend on the specific proposal, the designation, and the budget requested.
