The Department of Water Resources seeks a qualified contractor to provide boat‑portage (trailering) services for two barrier sites in the South Delta each year the barriers impede navigation (approximately mid‑May through late‑November). The contractor must supply two ¾‑ton trucks with class‑5 hitches, two suitable trailers, and two licensed operators capable of moving V‑hull boats up to 25 ft/7,000 lb. Service hours cover full weekday schedules and extended weekend hours, with strict safety, reporting, and insurance requirements, plus a mandatory pre‑bid conference on site.
• Provide boat‑portage across Old River (ORT) and Grant Line Canal (GLC) during barrier‑blocking season.
• Supply equipment (2 trucks, 2 trailers) and qualified personnel (licensed drivers and boater cards).
