Description
The project involves the replacement of an existing bridge on J82 Road, approximately 14 miles southeast of Crawford, Colorado, with a corrugated steel structural plate culvert. Montrose County is accepting sealed bids from qualified manufacturers for the supply of the culvert. The bid package can be downloaded from the county's website, and bids must be submitted by July 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The successful bidder will be required to provide a completed structural design, including plans stamped by a Colorado Registered Professional Engineer, and meet various specifications and standards. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and the county reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
• The box culvert will replace B-139 over the Fruitland Mesa Ditch.
• The existing bridge is no longer structurally sound and needs to be replaced.
• The anticipated date of delivery of the corrugated culvert shall be included on the bid.
• The manufacturer shall determine the longitudinal dimension of individual segments of the box culvert based on highway transport weight limit criteria.
• The manufacturer's price shall include delivery of the corrugated box culvert segments to Montrose County Road and Bridge yard.
