Notice of Intent to Noncompetitively Acquire Ultrastable Lasers

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to award a non-competitive contract to OEWaves, Inc. for the acquisition of two ultrastable lasers. These lasers are required for the development of advanced microfabricated photonic sensors for inertial measurement. The lasers must meet specific minimum requirements, including a linewidth less than 10 Hz, a tuning range of at least 210 GHz, and vibration/acceleration sensitivity less than 1 x 10^-10/g.
