The County of Los Angeles, Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner is seeking qualified Forensic Pathologists to enter into Master Agreements with the County to perform services on an as-needed basis. The primary mission of the Department is to inquire into and determine the cause, manner, and circumstances of all unnatural, suspicious, unusual, violent, sudden, and unattended deaths. Key aspects of the job include: • Performing post-mortem examinations and investigations to determine the cause of death • Providing expert testimony in court proceedings • Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to investigate deaths • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of examinations and investigations • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in forensic pathology.
