Description

The US Army is seeking a turnkey additive manufacturing solution to establish an organic capability for producing replacement parts at Fort Hood, TX. The acquisition includes two specific industrial-grade 3D printers: the Stratasys Origin Two and the Stratasys F370CR. The requirement also includes turnkey installation, configuration, and calibration of all equipment; manufacturer-led on-site training for operators; all necessary software licenses and initial consumables; and a comprehensive warranty and technical support package. Key features of the 3D printers include a minimum build volume, capability to produce high-accuracy end-use parts with complex geometries, and the ability to print with high-strength, carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastics. * The Stratasys Origin Two is a polymer printer that utilizes programmable photopolymerization (P3/DLP) technology. * The Stratasys F370CR is a composite-ready printer that uses Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology. * Both printers must have a minimum build volume and be capable of producing high-accuracy end-use parts. * The contractor must provide a comprehensive training plan, including curriculum outline, material handling, and operational instruction. * The contractor must also provide a warranty and technical support package.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

Based on the complexity of the project and the requirements for the 3D printers, the estimated budget range is between $500,000 and $1,500,000. The factors that influence this estimate include the cost of the 3D printers, the cost of installation and training, and the cost of the warranty and technical support package.
