Description
The US Air Force is seeking to procure a secure vault door for a Special Access Program Compartmented Area (SAPCA) discussion room at Maxwell AFB, AL. The door must meet specific security requirements, including mechanical or electronic access control devices, acoustic rating, and compatibility with automated access control. The contractor will be responsible for installing the door and ensuring it meets all applicable regulations.
Key requirements include:
• The door must be opaque and have an STC rating of 45 or 50.
• The door must be compatible with automated access control for unescorted entry.
• The door must have a 1 ¾ inch-thick face steel equal to minimum 18-gauge steel.
• The door must have hinges reinforced to 7-gauge steel and preferably a lift hinge.
• The door closure installation must be reinforced to 12-gauge steel.
