Description

The U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & JRMC is seeking a contractor to overhaul two Denison legacy steering pumps. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, overhauling, testing, and shipping the pumps. The overhaul must be done in accordance with the manufacturer's standards and specifications, and only genuine OEM parts shall be used. The contractor must also provide all labor, materials, and services necessary to accomplish the overhaul. The government will furnish the pumps to the contractor, and the contractor will be responsible for shipping them back to the U.S. Naval Base Yokosuka Japan after the overhaul is complete. The key requirements of the job include: * Receiving and inspecting the pumps * Overhauling and testing the pumps in accordance with the manufacturer's standards and specifications * Shipping the overhauled pumps back to the U.S. Naval Base Yokosuka Japan * Providing all labor, materials, and services necessary to accomplish the overhaul * Using only genuine OEM parts for the overhaul * Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Some of the key considerations for the contractor to keep in mind when evaluating this opportunity include: * The need to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for a government award * The requirement to use the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system for invoicing and payment requests * The need to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations * The importance of maintaining close liaison and good communications with the government representative * The requirement to safeguard all government equipment, information, and property provided for contractor use.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, depending on the complexity of the overhaul and the materials required. This estimate is based on the fact that the job involves the overhaul of two steering pumps, which is a relatively complex task that requires specialized labor and equipment. Additionally, the government will be furnishing the pumps to the contractor, which may reduce the overall cost of the project. However, the contractor will still need to provide all labor, materials, and services necessary to accomplish the overhaul, which could drive up the cost.
