US GPO-QCIM Room Renovation

The US Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a qualified firm to design and renovate space on the 5th floor of Building B to support the establishment of a new adhesive mixing area and a secure storage room. The renovations are necessary to upgrade the adhesive equipment, which is integral to the production of passports at GPO. The contractor will be responsible for designing and implementing a coordinated design to renovate the area, including abatement, demolition, architecture, mechanical, electrical, and fire and safety work. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract, and the contractor must submit a Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule for both the design and construction phases. Some key aspects of the job include: • Abatement of lead paint in the designated areas • Demolition and removal of walls, flooring, doors, and furnishings that do not align with the final design • Installation of new infrastructure, including floors, doors, and mechanical and electrical systems • Installation of security cameras and fire safety equipment • Painting of all walls, ceilings, and sprinkler pipes in the space
