Description

The City of Raleigh is seeking bids for the construction of the FY25 Traffic Calming, West & Harrington Bike Lane Improvements, and S. King Charles Projects. The project consists of speed humps, speed cushions, speed tables, concrete median/refuge, concrete island, pavement markings, tubular markers, rubber wheel stops, traffic signal loop relocations, and traffic signage. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instruction to Bidders. The City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City’s contracting and procurement programs. • The project requires a non-refundable fee of $150 plus sales tax for bidding documents. • Bidders must supply company name, contact person, street address, phone number, and email address for bidding point of contact. • Bidders must indicate if they will be a prime bidder, supplier, or sub-contractor. • The City's goal is to contract or sub-contract 15% of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this project is estimated to be between $500,000 and $2,000,000, based on the scope of work, which includes traffic calming measures, bike lane improvements, and other construction activities. The City's goal of contracting or sub-contracting 15% of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000 suggests that the project value is likely to be over $300,000. Additionally, the non-refundable fee of $150 plus sales tax for bidding documents and the requirement for bidders to supply company information and licensing details suggest a significant project value. However, without more specific information on the project's scope and requirements, it is difficult to provide a more precise estimate.
