The space must meet GSA fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards, cannot be in the 1‑percent‑annual chance floodplain, and must satisfy a series of proximity restrictions (e.g., not within 400 ft of schools, hospitals, fuel storage, etc.).
