Construction of the New SWAT Tower and Situational Training Space at the LPD Training Center

The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified and experienced State Certified Licensed General Contractor (CGC) or Building Contractor (CBC) to perform the construction of a new SWAT Tower and Situational Training Space at the Lakeland Police Department Training Center. The project includes demolishing the existing SWAT Rappelling Tower and constructing a new one, along with a new situational training space. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment, temporary protection, tools, and materials necessary to complete the work. The project will be evaluated based on the contractor's experience, personnel experience, fee proposal, and proposed schedule. • The contractor must have a State Certified License for either General Contractor (CGC) or Building Contractor (CBC) with the registration number from the State of Florida. • The contractor must provide proof of an office within 50 miles of the City of Lakeland and the office must have been established 1 year prior to the RFP date of the project at its current location. • The contractor must provide a list of at least three jobs that they have performed within the past three years which are equal in size, scope, magnitude, and complexity to the type of work to be done for the City of Lakeland. • The contractor must submit a preliminary phasing and schedule plan that reflects how the work will be executed. • The contractor must provide a site logistics plan proposal, including access, laydown area(s), temporary protection, dust/debris control.
