Description
The City of Centralia is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the roofing system on two laboratory roofs at its Wastewater Plant. The work includes complete removal of the existing roof, substrate preparation, and installation of a new reinforced‑membrane adhered roofing system (60‑mil TPO or equivalent Dura‑Tuff), along with all required materials, labor, equipment, permits, and waste disposal. The project covers approximately 3,862 sq ft of roof area and must be completed by July 30, 2026. The bid must include a 5 % deposit and comply with Illinois prevailing‑wage requirements and a 20‑year warranty.
• Scope: tear‑off, substrate prep, install 60‑mil TPO (or equivalent) roofing membrane, flashings, sealants, and related accessories.
• Technical specs: ASTM D6878‑compliant TPO, 3/8″‑1″ polyiso insulation, specified adhesives, fasteners, and metal edging; 20‑year warranty, 55 mph wind rating.
• Financial/contractual: 5 % bid deposit, prevailing‑wage compliance, insurance minimums, liquidated damages ($500/day first 28 days, $1,000/day thereafter).
