The City of Lima, Ohio is seeking a qualified vendor to provide routine maintenance and general repair services for its medium‑ and heavy‑duty truck fleet (approximately 125 vehicles) over a three‑year period (Jan 1 2027 – Dec 31 2029). The contract requires a flat‑rate hourly labor price, optional special pricing for specific jobs, and a markup on parts. Vendors must be located within 15 mi of Lima, have ASE‑certified technicians, be able to perform both warranty and non‑warranty work, and carry $300 k personal property and $500 k liability insurance. The bid is sealed, must be submitted by 10:00 AM on Oct 21 2026, and no electronic submissions are accepted.
• Scope: inspection, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and major/minor repairs on all makes/models (Ford, Dodge, GMC, International, Freightliner, Sterling, Sutphen fire trucks, etc.)
• Required services include engine, transmission, brake, tire, HVAC, exhaust, electrical, steering/suspension, and fluid changes
• Vendor must provide one ASE‑certified technician and can offer same‑day/emergency service priority
• Contract value expected > $300 k per year; price adjustments limited to 3 % annually after year 1
• Bids must include flat‑rate labor, parts cost plus markup, and any special pricing; envelope labeling required
• Insurance minimums: $300 k personal property, $500 k liability
• No auto‑body work or fire‑equipment repairs are covered
