LARGE AREA FACILITY DESIGN BUILD CONSTRUCTION

The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to design and build a new facility at Tobyhanna, PA. The facility will be a 90' x 75' clear span structure with a minimum 40' high inside clearance, and will include features such as large overhead doors, general purpose and mission-specific electrical distribution, and heating and ventilation systems. The facility will be designed to a minimum life of 40 years and will include energy efficiencies, building envelope, and integrated building systems performance. The contractor will be responsible for designing and constructing the facility, as well as providing secondary facilities such as water, sewer, gas, and electric utilities, drainage, pavement, site improvements, and information systems. • The facility must have a work floor flush with adjacent ground level. • The facility must have large overhead doors on two sides. • The facility must have an unobstructed clear open area. • The facility must be designed to provide both general purpose and mission-specific electrical distribution. • The facility must be designed to provide general indoor and exterior lighting, heating, and ventilation system with vehicle exhaust purge.
