102" Anacostia Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 2 - Progressive Design-Build

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is seeking a design-build team for the rehabilitation of the 102-inch Anacostia Trunk Sewer (Phase II) in Prince George's County, Maryland. The project involves the design and construction of the sewer rehabilitation using a progressive design-build approach. The design-build team will be responsible for managing the integration and utilization of various team members, including the design firm, contractor, and specialty disciplines. The team must demonstrate experience in large diameter pipeline design, construction, and rehabilitation, as well as experience with collaborative delivery methods and progressive design-build projects. The proposal will be evaluated based on factors such as design-build team experience, key project team members' experience, project management, and project approach. Some key points to note are: • The design-build team must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in collaborative delivery projects, with at least 5 years specific to large diameter pipeline design, construction, and rehabilitation. • The team must have completed at least three sewer rehabilitation projects involving pipes 60 inches or greater within the last 10 years, with at least two of these projects performed in environmentally sensitive areas. • The team must have completed at least one progressive design-build project. • The proposal must include a detailed description of the team's management approach, coordination and communication protocols, and tools and processes used to maintain transparency and alignment.
