Description

This solicitation (N0010426QLC44) is a Navy RFQ for the repair of a “DETECTION UNIT.” The Government will award a firm‑fixed‑price or estimated‑price contract to a qualified contractor who can meet the required Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) measured in days from receipt of the asset to government acceptance. The contractor must provide a quote that includes unit price, total price, and RTAT, and must adhere to strict quality‑assurance, inspection, and packaging requirements (MIL‑STD‑130, MIL‑STD‑2073). Government source inspection is required, and any delay beyond the RTAT will trigger per‑unit, per‑month price reductions. The contract may include an option for additional quantities at the same unit price. The solicitation references numerous compliance modules (Buy‑American, cybersecurity, small‑business subcontracting, etc.) and requires the contractor to be an authorized distributor of the original equipment. • Repair of a Navy detection unit (NSN/part number to be verified). • Firm‑fixed‑price or estimated‑price contract; price reduction penalties for missed RTAT. • Mandatory Government Source Inspection (GSI) and compliance with multiple DOD regulations. • Required submission of quote with unit price, total price, and RTAT (days). • Potential option quantity for additional units at the same price. • Packaging per MIL‑STD‑2073; marking per MIL‑STD‑130. • Contractor must be an authorized distributor of the original manufacturer.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The solicitation does not disclose a ceiling price. Typical repair contracts for a single high‑value Navy detection system range from tens of thousands to a few hundred thousand dollars, depending on part complexity, required firmware updates, and RTAT. Assuming a moderate‑complexity unit with a unit price between $45,000 and $180,000, plus potential option quantities, the expected award could be roughly $50k‑$200k. Factors influencing the final amount include the number of units repaired, any required testing & evaluation (T&E) fees, and the severity of the repair (e.g., BR/BER status).
