The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking to procure a Microfluidic Based Cell Sorter System to map the circuitry and define neuronal subtypes within interconnected brain regions. The system must meet specific salient characteristics, including compatibility with disposable microfluidics sorting chips, comprehensive fluidics control, and the ability to generate FCS 3.0 and FCS 3.1 files. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government, considering factors such as price, technical capability, past performance, and delivery schedule.
• The system must be fully compatible with 100 μm and 130 μm disposable microfluidics sorting chips
• The system must have comprehensive fluidics control for set-up, acquisition, sort, and analysis
• The system must support sorting into tubes and 96- and 384-well plates
• The system must generate FCS 3.0 and FCS 3.1 files that can be exported to third-party analysis tools
• The system must have a minimum of 3 collinear excitation lasers and at least 6 fluorescence detection channels
