Plate Reader

The United States Military Academy is seeking a plate reader instrument that can acquire real-time data from multiple modes of measurement. The required features include a linear variable monochromator, tunable dichroic mirror, auto-ranging of detector sensitivity and gain, and enhanced dynamic range autoranging. The instrument should also have a dedicated spectrometer for absorbance measurements, heated optics, and a temperature controller. Additionally, the instrument should come with software for data visualization and analysis. The key features of the instrument are: • Linear variable monochromator with tunable band passes up to 100nm • Tunable dichroic mirror permitting air-based light path for monochromator without light guides or fiberoptics • Auto-ranging of detector sensitivity and gain for fluorescence measurements • Enhanced dynamic range autoranging of detector sensitivity in less than 0.1s • Dedicated spectrometer for absorbance measurements • Heated optics with a temperature controller up to 45°C • Two reagent injectors for automated injection for initiating kinetic events and flash luminescence • Atmospheric control unit with software-controlled CO2 and O2 concentrations for cell culture at 5% CO2
