Description
The State of Alabama’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a qualified vendor to supply a range of fish feeds for the Marion Fish Hatchery in FY 2026. The procurement includes bulk catfish feed, bagged catfish feed, and several specialty fry/grow‑out feeds, all with specific pellet sizes, floating/slow‑sink characteristics, and nutrient compositions. The contract will be awarded on an all‑or‑none, lowest‑responsible‑bidder basis, with FOB destination pricing and a requirement that the supplier maintain sufficient inventory to meet ongoing orders. No subcontractors are allowed, and any specialty‑feed brand substitutions must receive DCNR approval. All deliveries must be completed by May 1 2026 at the hatchery site, and the vendor must coordinate each delivery with the Hatchery Manager.
• Deliver 30 tons bulk catfish feed (5 mm floating pellets, 32 % CP) in 6‑ton increments to an elevated bin.
• Deliver 12 tons bagged catfish feed (50 lb bags, 3 mm floating pellets, 36 % CP).
• Provide 80 specialty feed bags (Ziegler Finish Pro‑Start, Ziegler Finfish Pro‑Start, Ziegler Finfish Hi‑Performance A & B) with defined pellet sizes and nutrient profiles.
• All freight costs must be included in unit prices (FOB destination) and the supplier must keep inventory on hand to satisfy any order throughout FY 26.
• Questions must be submitted by March 31 2026; bids close April 6 2026; final delivery required by May 1 2026.
