S209--Textile Processing Laundry Service

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide textile processing laundry services, including bulk laundry and hybrid-rental of linen items, at the Fayetteville VAMC in North Carolina. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary resources, including labor, equipment, and supplies, to provide clean and sanitary laundry services. The contract will be monitored by a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), who will conduct regular inspections and sampling to ensure that the contractor is meeting the required performance standards. The contractor will be required to provide a baseline inventory of staple textile items and to replace worn, stained, or unserviceable items at no additional cost to the agency. The contract will also require the contractor to provide daily pickups and deliveries of laundry, with up to 4 valid discrepancies per month allowed. • The contractor must provide clean and sanitized laundry, free of wrinkles, lint, and stains. • The contractor must use a garment finisher for certain items and place them on hangers. • The contractor must tumble dry and fold certain items. • The contractor must clean, dry, and return items in bulk. • The contractor must provide a corrective action plan in the event of unacceptable performance.
