EDISON HOUSE GENERAL BUILDING CONTRACTOR

The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin is seeking a qualified General Contractor to complete the adaptive reuse of an existing medical office building into a supportive housing development known as Edison House. The project will convert the existing structure into 34 studio units, including one manager's unit, six ADA mobility units, and four units for hearing and visually impaired residents. The development will also include a community room, property management and service offices, laundry facilities, restrooms, and counseling space. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing full turnkey construction services, including labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and temporary facilities. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, and the contractor must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contractor must have experience with adaptive reuse, rehabilitation, and affordable housing projects. • The contractor must be able to demonstrate its understanding of the work required to convert the existing medical building into 34 affordable studio apartments. • The contractor must have a qualified team with the necessary expertise and experience to complete the project. • The contractor must be able to provide a detailed project schedule and procurement plan. • The contractor must be able to demonstrate its ability to complete the project within the required timeframe and budget.
