On-Call General Construction & Excavation Services for the Nantucket Water Department

The Town of Nantucket is seeking qualified vendors to provide on-call general construction and excavation services for the Nantucket Water Department. The services will include routine and emergency work, such as installation and repair of water services, water mains, fire hydrants, road reconstruction and grading, snowplowing, delivery of materials, and other related tasks. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the work. The contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to renew. The town is looking for a contractor who can provide high-quality work, respond quickly to emergencies, and work in harmony with other town departments. • The contractor must have experience in general construction and excavation services, operating under the same business name and organization for at least five years. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability insurance. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including prevailing wage rates and OSHA requirements. • The contractor must provide a bid deposit of 5% of the base bid. • The contractor must submit a signed tax compliance certification and non-collusion form.
