Description
The City of Atlanta is seeking qualified engineering and construction firms to design and construct a full replacement of the existing 423‑ft, 5‑span concrete box‑beam bridge on Marietta Road over the former CSX Tilford Yard. The new bridge will include a modern bridge structure, new pavement, curb and gutter, and continuous 5‑ft sidewalks on both sides of the bridge plus an additional 0.8‑mile sidewalk along Marietta Road. The solicitation is split into a Phase I (qualification and staffing) and Phase II (technical approach and past performance) evaluation. Offerors must submit Statements of Qualifications, comply with extensive OCC, insurance, bonding, and small‑business participation requirements, and adhere to a strict submission deadline of 2 PM ET on 12 Oct 2026.
• Replace weight‑limited 10‑ton bridge with a new structure meeting current design standards.
• Provide full design services (roadway, bridge, utility coordination, sidewalk, drainage).
• Perform construction engineering, supervision, and field inspection.
