Description
The City of Albany is seeking bids for the installation of a new sidewalk along the historic St. Nicholas Hotel in the Sandy Bottom District. The project includes base and subgrade preparation, followed by the installation of pavers. The bid shall include all labor, base, subgrade, site preparation, and cleanup in accordance with bid documents, specifications, and all other contract documents contained herein.
• The project is part of a larger renovation project to enhance pedestrian access and preserve the historic integrity of downtown Albany.
• The City will purchase the pavers, and the contractor will be responsible for the installation.
• The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total base bid.
• The project must be completed within 60 calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
• The contractor will be required to provide a 5% bid bond, and a 100% performance bond and payment bond if the bid exceeds $250,000.
