The Newark Board of Education is seeking a vendor to supply kiln‑dried lumber and related wood products on a “pay‑as‑you‑go” basis for a one‑year term. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and may be split among multiple suppliers. All deliveries are F.O.B. destination to the Technology High School Carpentry Shop in Newark, NJ, with a 7‑10 business‑day delivery window. Pricing is expressed per thousand board feet (MFBM) and the District may delete obsolete items during the contract period. No bid or performance bonds are required, but extensive insurance, certifications, and compliance documentation must be submitted electronically via the Flex RFP system. • Product scope: kiln‑dried hardwood (≤ 8 % MC) and softwood (≤ 12 % MC), plywood, poplar, etc.; surface‑finished on two sides; widths ≥ 6 in., average 9 in., lengths ≥ 8 ft. • Grade‑marking required by appropriate lumber associations; “brand name or equal” substitutions allowed with documentation. • Delivery: inside delivery, F.O.B. destination, 7–10 business days; liquidated damages $100/day for late delivery. • Invoicing: within 30 days of delivery; net‑30 payment terms. • Mandatory vendor documentation: signed bid, questionnaire, political‑contribution disclosure, ownership disclosure, sanctions certifications, non‑collusion affidavit, W‑9, certificates of insurance, etc. • No minimum order quantity; the District will order as needed up to the quantities shown in the pricing spreadsheet.
