Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform general building repairs at the Kingvale Maintenance Station in Nevada County. The scope includes roof replacement, siding and metal work, structural wall repairs, concrete parapet repairs, post replacement, interior sheathing, painting, and the proper disposal of asbestos and lead‑containing materials. The work must be completed within a four‑month window and all required licenses, certifications, insurance, and bonding must be in place.
• Replace existing roofing system and metal siding on two storage structures.
• Perform structural wall shoring, concrete parapet repair, and post replacement.
• Remove and dispose of asbestos‑containing materials and lead‑based paint in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide interior/exterior painting (~1,700 sf) and supply all labor, tools, permits, travel, and incidentals.
• Maintain Small‑Business/DVBE certification, submit certified payroll, and meet prevailing‑wage requirements if bid exceeds $15 K.
