Adams Avenue Streetscape

The City of Scranton is seeking separate sealed bids for the Adams Avenue Streetscape project. The project includes improvements to Adams Avenue from Linden Street to Mulberry Street, Mulberry Street from Adams Avenue to Jefferson Street, and Jefferson Street from Mulberry Street to Linden Street. The work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, selective tree removal, removal of planters, test pits, asphalt mixture design, subbase, sidewalks, detectable warning surfaces, and traffic signals. The successful bidder will enter into a contract that will remain in effect until the satisfactory completion of the project. Key aspects of the project include: • Improving the streetscape of Adams Avenue and surrounding streets • Maintaining access to adjoining properties at all times • Completing the project in accordance with the terms of a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit • Ensuring compliance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and accompanying regulations • Providing insurance certificates and maintaining insurance coverage during the contract period • Submitting a non-collusion affidavit and certification regarding lobbying
