Wide-Area Mower Lease/Rental

The City of Ames Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified vendors to lease three new wide‑area mowers for use across city parks and a golf course. The lease term is three years, beginning March 2027 with equipment delivery to Fleet Services and pickup in November 2030. Mowers must meet detailed specifications (diesel 55 HP, 4‑WD, 11‑ft multi‑blade deck, full warranty, and comprehensive maintenance/repair support). The vendor must provide rapid on‑site service, loaner equipment if repairs exceed 24 hours, and may have an optional three‑year renewal after 2030. Payment is made within 10 working days of acceptance.
