Consultant for Downtown Pontiac Public Spaces and Placemaking Plan per SEMCOG Planning Assistance Program

The City of Pontiac, in partnership with Main Street Pontiac, is seeking a consultant to create a Downtown Pontiac Public Spaces and Placemaking Plan. This plan aims to enhance downtown walkability, connectivity, and public realm vitality utilizing the SEMCOG Planning Assistance Grant. The selected consultant will analyze existing conditions, summarize trends, identify challenges, and establish a strategy for improving key nodes in the downtown area, including the West Alley and public transportation hubs. The consultant will also work with the City's legal consultants and conduct at least one public forum to solicit input from residents, business persons, and city staff. • The scope of work includes an analysis of existing conditions, summarizing trends, identifying challenges, and establishing a strategy for improvement. • The consultant will provide a program that addresses the objectives and a timeline for successful completion of the project. • The Downtown Pontiac Public Spaces and Placemaking Plan shall include an analysis of existing conditions, trends, challenges, and a strategy for improvement. • The consultant will work with the City's legal consultants to get their input prior to adoption of the plan.
