County Office Building and Circuit Courthouse Elevator Replacement

The project involves the modernization of four traction elevators located at 33/35 West Washington Street and 95 West Washington Street in Hagerstown, Maryland. The work consists of the demolition of the existing traction elevator, installation of a new traction machine, auxiliary brakes, suspension ropes, governor ropes, controllers, fixtures, wiring, car operating panels, car interior finishes, hall and car door equipment, and patch and repair of finishes associated with the replacement of elevator signaling devices. The contractor must apply and obtain all permits required to execute the work and provide final acceptance by the authorities having jurisdiction. The project requires an "Open Source" (Non-Proprietary) elevator modernization, and bids based on proprietary equipment will not be accepted.
