The City of Dayton is seeking qualified contractors to remove existing single‑pole and multi‑location light switches throughout the Safety Building and install new compatible dimmer switches, ensuring adjustable lighting levels while maintaining code‑compliant operation. This work involves complete electrical rewiring of switch locations, testing, and finishing work to meet safety standards.
• Remove all existing light switches in the Safety Building (approximately 200–300 units).
• Supply and install new dimmer switches, including any necessary wiring modifications and conduit work.
• Perform functional testing, labeling, and documentation of all installed dimmer units.
• Provide all labor, equipment, materials, and compliance with applicable electrical codes.
• Mandatory site visit on April 14, 2026 for all prospective general contractors.
