Description
The City of Gastonia is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide professional anaerobic digester cleanout and residuals disposal services for two of its Wastewater Treatment Plants (Long Creek and Crowders Creek). The contract is expected to be a three-year contract with options for two one-year extensions. The scope of work includes the removal, handling, transportation, and disposal of materials from the anaerobic digesters, including grit, rags, non-organic trash, and anthracite media. Key Requirements: * Vendors must have experience in digester cleanouts and residuals disposal * Vendors must provide a detailed plan for the cleanout, transportation, and disposal of materials * Vendors must demonstrate their ability to handle heavy solids and non-organic debris * Vendors must provide proof of insurance, including professional liability, general liability, and worker's compensation * Vendors must provide three municipal references for similar projects * Vendors must provide a detailed pricing structure for the services Proposal Submission: * Proposals must be submitted electronically as a single PDF * Proposals must include a brief introduction, company overview, qualifications, cleanout method, equipment, references, and pricing information * Proposals must be received by 5:00 pm on April 17, 2026 Evaluation Criteria: * Qualifications and experience * Technical approach and methodology * Cost and pricing structure * Compliance with proposal requirements The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, request additional information, and negotiate with the selected vendor. The contract is expected to start in May 2026, and the City anticipates cleaning one to two digesters per year for the next three years.
