Description
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is seeking a contractor to provide Fire Watch/Tank Watch services. The contractor will be responsible for providing personnel to perform fire watch and tank watch duties, including monitoring for hot work and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with an option for renewal. The contractor must have experience in providing similar services and must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
• The contractor must provide personnel who are knowledgeable in the operation of powered machinery and tooling relevant to the trade skills.
• The contractor must provide personnel who are familiar with materials associated with the ship repair industry.
• The contractor must provide personnel who have the ability to recognize working conditions or use of materials that require initiation of safety precautions.
• The contractor must provide personnel who are qualified and experienced at working in confined spaces.
• The contractor must provide a program manager and supervisor who meet the requirements outlined in the solicitation.
