Description
The State of Illinois, Department of Human Services (DHS), is seeking a medical director for the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education (ICRE) - Roosevelt. The medical director will provide case management and medical consultation services to students with physical disabilities. The contract is for a 6-month term, from November 18, 2025, to May 17, 2026. The selected vendor will be required to provide a qualified candidate with an Illinois license to practice medicine and an American Board of Medical Specialties Certification.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing medical director services 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday
• Providing case management and medical consultation services over the phone
• Spending at least 5 hours per month at the center to review and approve medications
• Being available for medical consultation with outside hospitals for students' medical needs
