Description

The City of Ridgefield is seeking qualifications from highly qualified firms to provide professional services for the Pioneer Street Slope Stabilization and Slide Alleviation project. The project includes design and construction support for slope stabilization and slide alleviation along Pioneer Street between S 30th Place and N Reiman Road. The goal is to improve stormwater drainage and explore other means of conducting slide mitigation. Key tasks include reviewing and potentially re-establishing inclinometer data, reviewing geotechnical reports, and assessing and addressing required mitigation measures. Some key points to consider: • The project is funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce through The Local Community Projects Program. • The City expects to grow to a population of over 20,000 persons with an employment base of over 13,000 jobs in the next 20 years. • The project area has experienced four recorded slides between 2006 and 2016, resulting in road closures and significant repair costs. • The City is committed to providing equal opportunities to State of Washington-certified Minority, Disadvantaged, and Women's Business Enterprises in contracting activities. • The City reserves the right to cancel this request or reject any and all submittals or to waive any minor formalities of this call if the best interest of the City would be served.

Budget estimate

$250,000 – $350,000

Based on the project estimate provided in the document, the total project cost is estimated to be around $300,000. This is likely to be the maximum amount that the City of Ridgefield is willing to pay for the services required. However, the actual budget may vary depending on the scope of work, the complexity of the project, and the qualifications of the selected firm. The budget may also be influenced by factors such as the firm's experience, reputation, and ability to deliver high-quality services within the required timeframe.
