Description
The Village of Oak Park is seeking a qualified engineering consultant (or team) to provide Phase I/II design services for the Chicago Avenue Corridor improvements, encompassing streetscape design, Vision Zero safety upgrades, protected bike‑lane extensions, and water‑main replacement. The work will be performed under a Qualifications‑Based Selection (QBS) process, requiring IDOT pre‑qualification and coordination with a landscape‑architecture sub‑consultant (Planning Resources, Inc.). Deliverables include data collection, surveys, environmental reviews, safety and parking studies, conceptual and detailed design packages, public‑outreach planning, and coordination with multiple agencies (IDOT, MWRD, IEPA). The design budget is $1.16 M, with an anticipated start in early May 2026 and construction phases slated for 2027‑2028.
